About Patuá

A capoeira trading-card game

Patuá is a digital trading-card game that brings the rhythm, ritual, and movement of capoeira to the tabletop. Players build decks around three traditions — Angola, Pequeno, and Grande — and duel inside the Roda, spending Rhythm (ritmo) to play Attacks, Stances, Quebras, Passadas, Patuás, and Orquestra cards. Each match is a call-and-response dialogue: berimbau-driven tempo, Orixá blessings, and capoeira's three axes — Round (Roda), Straight (Linha), and Ground (Chão) — shape every exchange.

Patuá is built for capoeiristas, card-game enthusiasts, and anyone drawn to Afro-Brazilian culture who wants a strategy game that honors the roots of the art. Whether you're a seasoned TCG player chasing ranked play or a curious newcomer learning through the interactive tutorial, there's a seat in the Roda for you.

The game is crafted by an independent studio of capoeira practitioners, game designers, and artists who build every card, song, and blessing with respect for the tradition. We are not affiliated with any capoeira lineage or mestre; Patuá is a love letter to the culture, made with guidance from the community it celebrates.
